Comment by Sharon Williams on August 20, 2012 at 8:57am THANK YOU for commenting:-) Doing this “visual-diary-lapbook” with my kids was quite a fun project. They explored the fun part of discovering their creative abilities and as mommy of three teenagers I was invited to spend some time in their world. It gave me an opportunity to “get to know more about them"…
The theme pages weren’t very specific, but their fabulous flair for creativity gave them good marks. Some of the pages that were compulsory for my daughter's diary however was to design her initials and write a short essay about herself, using patterns and or shapes. She had to acronym her name and write a short poem or song about herself, design a page that express her emotions, and a picture collage of herself. It was a
once-off school project but it really made us eager to get some more into lapbook-style diaries...something to definately treasure FOREVER:-) So we are exploring as time allows.

Comment by Angelique Johnson on August 16, 2012 at 7:35am Sharon, this looks very interesting. Would you be able to share some of the specifics for this project? What was to be included. Do you do this every year. Do you add to it each month or was it done all at one time? Those are a few questions I had come to mind. Thank you

Comment by Spidey Superpup on August 16, 2012 at 3:28am I think that the use of Popsicle sticks as labels is really cool
very nice way to express himself as well:)
What a great memory album for your son! I'm sure he will keep it FOREVER.....makes me want to make them with my children for every school year :)
