Summer Olympic lapbook 2008

We started this August last year but only managed to finish it a few weeks ago. A wonderful lapbook to teach children about various sports (some they have not even heard of) but also where China is & other countries where the TORCH had been. We were able to find these countries on the world map. We got this free lapbook from

I have also added a plastic sleeve on the back of the folder to store the the world map & other relevant bits & pieces. And instead of sticking 2 manila folders together to make more room, I got some light weight card (140gsm) which I had spare & a piece of coloured paper & glued them together to create an extra flap. I attached this extra flap to the main lapbook using wide (clear) packing tape. This flap opens upward & I did another flap opening downwards. Unfortunately my camera has died & I can't take more pictures at the moment.
But I thought this may be a cheaper option since coloured manila folders are rather expensive & the kids prefer coloured manila folders.
