Lapbook Lessons

Hi Everyone,
My daughter and I are finishing up her Ladybug lapbook for July. We stayed with the bug theme due to the Catch the Reading Bug Theme at the library.
We are also working on our Praying Mantis lapbook.
We purchased 2 kits from www.insectlore.com a ladybug kit and a praying mantis kit.
Our ladybug's will be delayed, we won't receive them until sometime in Sept. due to weather conditions and their survival.
But, our Praying Mantis egg has hatched! It's So Cool!
Come check it out here:

Oh those are just adorable! I can't believe how many hatched out of the egg, maybe they'll stay close by your yard, wouldn't that be fun!

Sissy got to hold one of those Walking Sticks at our Library a few weeks ago (we have the reading bug theme too!) and she loved it, I can't imagine what she would say with all those little babies!

I can't wait to see pictures of the ones you've kept, keep us posted!

Blessings,

Valerie

Oh congrats!... ;-) what a thrill it must have been for your children...wow, they are like miniture mantis aren't they...I think we would like to so the egg sac thing next year...mannie is getting ready to molt, he is batting at his food rather than striking it for the kill...this is a very unstable time for mantis...so my girls are keeping mannie in their prayers...too cute!
