Lapbook Lessons

My husband said this was the best Father's Day ever...wow, each year we buy him a card and gift and cook a special dinner. This year was different the girls made him a lapbook, duct tape wallet, and a treat bag; who would have ever guessed that it was hand made gifts that touched their daddy's heart, he actually teared up...
He has set the lapbook with the wallet next to his lunch bag to take to work with him in the morning, he said he was so proud that he wanted to share it with his co-workers...I'm amazed, and so grateful that YHWH/The LORD blessed the girls work. It was a good day!

I've posted the completed lapbook in photos, alubums, and my home page.

Happy Lapbook'n :-)

Your Father's day lapbook was amazing, hope u don't mind if we borrow the duct tape wallet idea :). I would love my children to actually put "love" into the gifts they give.

Penny,

I just finished my daughters dress, we used fabric from Walmart, with one of their easy patterns. It took me a while, but hoping next time it will go faster.

I posted pictures here

yes, And thanks for the commpliment! to be totally honest I really just don't 'love' sewing, but find it to be a neccessity (sp) as we can't find dresses to suite our convictions...so I have to sew all their dresses/jumpers and even their slips...with homeschooling and general homemaking there is little time to sew as I need...however I know it is a blessing from YHWH/The LORD to be able to sew, so I do appriciate the fact the He has blessed me with the ability to do so...you are so right, so much cuter and "LOTS" cheaper. I generally find my fabric at Walmart, and pay no more than $1-2 per yard...so my dresses cost about...umm...well no more than $5.00 including zippers/buttons/elastic ect. Can't beat that with a stick lol ;-)

They are beautiful, I forgot to ask if you made their dresses? I just recently made my first one for Sissy, and I think I'm hooked.....less expensive, and way cuter!
