Our flower lapbook is coming along...still, not as fast as I'd like. I guess we're just not into it yet...Perhaps we don't have enough flowers in bloom yet here is Maine?
We've learned the basic parts of a flower. We can identify a few flowers. We understand what a plant needs in order to grow. We're still journaling our sunflower seeds (the first real leaves are out!) But beyond this, we just aren't moving along.
We leave in 9 days for Williamsburg, so at this point I am setting aside the flower lapbook, and moving forward with the Colonial America book. I was blessed to win the "door prize" at the last chat, and used it to buy an Evan-Moor History Pocket about Plymouth Colony. It's not exactly in lapbook format, but it is definitely workable and I am excited to have it! (Thank you Valerie!)
When we come back from vacation, it will be June...we'll plan to finish the flower lapbook then, and post our pictures at that point. We'll also post some of our Colonial America lapbook...and watch for a smilebox of our vacation, too!
Blessings,
*Ü*
