We focused on sunflowers this month to narrow down the flower theme for L.L. We are mainly focusing on the life cycle of the flower and how to grow them. We started some seeds in our kitchen and have just this week transplanted them outside. Hopefully by the end of the summer, we will have some beautiful sunflowers to enjoy!

Cool beans! (or should I say seeds?) I picked up some mammoth sunflower seeds to make a "house" with...I'll have to find the link and share it here...your blog helped me connect the dots...I can use them for our lapbook for may too! lol, sometimes I think too hard!

Thanks for the links. My son isn't too excited about the flowers theme. :( I don't know why but hopefully I can get him into it with some cool activities. I think he wanted to do some trains and cars, etc. That will come later! Looking forward to another great lapbook!

Thank you for sharing all this. We are planting sunflowers in our backyard coming this month. I don't know how much success we will have but, this will be great to add to our fun learning.
