Kit Kittredge

I am so silly. I just noticed that we spelled Kittredge wrong on the lapbook cover! Oh dear! I will be ripping and adding more glue.

I Get Knocked Down But I Get Up Again!

Sometimes I get knocked down, But I get up again! I wanted this homeschool year to be so much better that what has become. And even though I felt "knocked down" about it, I am gonna get back up again. I just love this site and all that it provides. I am finding out how very hard it can be to have such an arrangement of ages to homeschool and this year I really felt it. I didn't think it was going to happen and it did! One of the beggest things for me, is learning to look at my 13 year old and… Continue

Lap Flap blabbbing

Hey everyone! Here's my blab for today. Lapbooking is wonderful! I just wish I could get it together at the right time at the right place and the right day! My 6 children stayed up last night making their version of lapbooks until 10pm! Now if only they would do the colonial times like I want. Hmmmm. They want robots and lego guys and some kind of aliens! Yeah! So, How do ya get them excited about doing the schoolin that you chose for them to lapbook about? I dunno. Pray for me. Continue

It is Christmas Time!

Hi all! I am planning on sharing some Pilgrim lapbook pics this Friday Lord willing! We are so busy between homeschool, the dentist, colds, crafting for the local Christmas craft/parade this Saturday...the list could go on as you all know so well. Homeschooling is very busy and social. Too bad the very creative moms that would be absolutely wonderful at homeschool don't know how it feels and how it helps give a creative outlet! Let's pray that more moms would come to the high calling of Keepers… Continue

Time To Tap Flap

Tap, tap, tap. I am feeling a little tapped out. The schooling started with a bang and now it is just a tap. How do I keep the kids from being overwhelmed in school and make it more fun? I purchased a cd from Homeschoolinthewoods. I like it alot! It is very in depth. I am just worrying a little about doing too much with the kiddos. So, maybe 30 minutes every day is a little much?! So I have a new plan of action, tap at it a little at a time. Tap, tap, tap. At the end of this month there should b… Continue

Back to School Lap Flapping

Well, we started school this past Monday. And everyday we lapflapped for at least 30 minutes. Once the children gather around the table and start their lapbooks, they just don't want to stop. I forgot to take pictures! I will have to remember to do that in the next few days. We are in a hurricane watch now in Florida. It is supposed to pass right over us. Please pray for our surrounding counties to be safe. But we are praising the Lord for the rain! So a picture might have to wait until after th… Continue

Big A little a, what begins with A?

Alphabugs. My little twins are loving this lapbooking learning. They have been working on the Aa. So, all is going well with it. They are asking to be able to do it! I wish to know how to put pictures on here so I can share with you all. My husband is working on how to create the video part. So we will see how it will go. My twin boys have been crafting their own lapbooks. One made a robot and when you open it you are supposed to see his gadgets that make him work. My other twin made a solar sys… Continue

Lap Flap Flitter

I going to be doing the Alphabugs Flapbook with my twin girls. I can not wait to help them learn to write and read and to craft along with me. It is going to be a blast! So much so, that my twin boys are asking if they can make these buggy flap flitters. And they are going into 3rd grade! Fun! So, hopefully it will start within the next week. I am so thankful for this site. I can't wait to learn how to show you all some of my ideas. I have to learn more about working on the computer. Alphabugs h… Continue

Lap Flapping Fun

I am so very excited about this lapbooking place. I am looking forward to meeting all who are apart of this group. My children like lapbooking and love to glue things. Mostly they like to draw. I am hoping to incorporate water color paints somehow in some of the future projects for the next year. We use Konos curriculum for the diverse age group that I am teaching. This next year I will have six students! Yes they are all mine! Two sets of twins! Two 5 year olds, two 8 year olds, a ten year old… Continue
