a2t2 TIME

Having had a sick kid for the last week ( burst eardrums) I am glad for flexibility and TIME. When she could participate in life and school from her bed she did. But when she wasn't up to it- she could rest , sleep and read to her hearts content. No stress about work missed, homework forth coming or the make up work she would need to do. God works best when we allow him to work in our lives on his schedule. HIS TIME. Healing is one of those things God does in hisTIME. The gift of time is preciou… Continue

Melissa The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Today we mostly finished "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" Lapbook, based on the book by Eric Carle. We still have the mini-books to finish up, but they have their place in the lapbook. My youngest has enjoyed this one A LOT!!! We have been reading the book, almost continuously. And we happen to have the game also, which is identical to the book, so we have been playing the game as much as we have been reading the book. I mainly wanted her to learn the days of the week, which gave me the idea of ad… Continue

Valerie History of Lapbooking

Ever since I started this site I've wanted to put a little bit about the History of Lapbooking and how this whole Homeschooling craze got started. But everytime I go online it's so hard for me to determine exactly how it happened...... From what I can gather Lapbooking was an extension of Notebooking, and the method was used among many homeschoolers way, way way, before it was ever termed Lapbooking. But is there a "Founder" (if you will) of someone who originally used the terms Lap Book? I'm… Continue
