I have a friend who's little boy of 5 is in a critical condition. They live in the countryside and about a week ago the children were out playing. They went near a field they had been told not to go near and the little lad had a farm gate fall on him. The little girl ran back to get my friend (Mum), who fortunately had another friend with her at the time who is a Dr, but when they got to the lad he was not breathing and had no heartbeat. They did resuscitate him, but he is now on life support an…

Hi, I am new here. I am a relaxed/unschooler mom and my children are interested in doing some lapbook/notebooks. I really was hoping someone could help me find a free star wars lapbook or one that doesn't cost a lot. Thanks for any help. And I look forward to learning more about lapbooking here!
Blessings,
Danielle

If I can ever finish school I am opening a school run like a homeschool with lapbooks and literature, hands on activities and field trips. I think is very important for children to have choices not only what they want to learn but how best to deliver it.
This said, I have entered a contest to win money for college. It is real simple, if you like my picture, please vote for it. If you don't, I'm good with that too.
The address is

All the older four children made this together. It was great fun and lots to learn - as well as providing us with a perfect future 'hands-on' resource.
All the material came from
THIS book and was adapted a little by me to make it work for a flat-book ;)

God is not...
operating a "disaster control center"
from his throne of the universe
He is not trying to "pick up the pieces"
of a totally unexpected tragedy
that he never saw coming
He is not trying to "figure out" a way
to somehow to get things back
to being as good as they once were
He is not
trying to "figure out" a way to out smart Satan-
and he is not "falling behind" numerically
as far as how many will be saved
and how many will be lost
God has a plan,
and he is working out that plan…

The FIREMAN...
I teach that Jesus Christ
is the Saviour of the world-
and that he can not be
SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD-
and not
SAVE THE ENTIRE WORLD
I get replies that Christ
can be the Saviour of the world,
and yet
NOT SAVE THE ENTIRE WORLD
They give me this type of proof:
When a fireman goes into a burning building to save trapped people,
what happens if these trapped people refuse to be saved?
Is the fireman not still a fireman
simply because some do not wish to be saved?
Here we see the f…

:) Happy summer everyone! :)
With the 4th of July coming soon, I wanted my children to learn about songs of our country. Here is a simple lesson with posters, copywork, puzzles, and lapbook / notebook pages about the Star Spangled Banner. I will let you know when I add the other songs we will be learning.

I'm about to start a unit study with my 6 year old daughter (reading level 9 year old) on the great depression. We've recently bought The Waltons on DVD & this has started the ball rolling. I've ordered the books on "The Waltons" but am wondering if anyone has any suggestions of novels or biographies that may be appropriate to read with her based in this time period? We live in Tasmania, Australia, so I'd love to include some Australian stories if I can find some. Any suggestions will be hel…

I hope this is ok to post here. I was just amazed. I signed up on one the sister sites to Lapbook Lessons awhile back. It's
File Folder Fun, but I never browsed it to see what was there. Wow, there are some nice file folder files! I will be using more of them in the future, especially the ones for grades 2 and 3 :-) So, for now, these are the first two we decided to put together. These are great for reviewing sight words. I am glad they were offered. Here…

Over the last couple weeks we worked on this Australia lapbook. I used a resource from
Teacher Book Bag titled 'Continental Little Hoppers Australia'. We studied maps of Australia, many facts about the continent, Australian animals, the Aborigines, Aboriginal sign language, Aboriginal Art, boomerangs, kangaroos, and why there are so many sheep in Australia! We covered many other topics throughout that we will also continue to study later on. Here are some…
