About Me:
Hi, I'm happily married to the man of my dreams, together we have 3 children that we homeschool. We've homeschooled our children from birth, and plan to continue through graduation.

We include lapbooks in a variety of subjects. Our homeschool style is eclectic with some traditional, some Charlotte Mason, but mostly following the mandates of Scripture in training and educating our children

Ning doesn't charge, unless you want to remove their ads to use the space, or to put up your own ads. (that costs $25 a month).

I've got the Oregon Trail minibooks all done, but I'm waiting to finish our lapbook before I post it....definitely in time for Summer, so this will be really useful for you. It's super cute!

Enjoying the crazy weather.....sun, rain, sun, rain...lol.

Yup, You read right, I'm slowly starting to announce it, probably sometime this week. We're a little more then 16 weeks right now, so I'm glad to be past the first trimester! I get so nervous when I'm pregnant, like it's too good to be true you know?

I'm teaching Sunday School now too, so my cup is overflowing, and we've moved back to Eugene, which is very nice! I can breathe the air again! (LOL, I'm not really that stuck up, but sheesh, we were right in the thick of it! Ha Ha)

How have you been, any tips on the transition from 2 to 3 kids? I'm kinda scared a bit!

Good Morning Jasmine,

Here are a few sites I used for the Trains lapbook...

for the printouts:

Then for some fun online games:

The other stuff, we just did ourselves. :)
Hope this helps! Have a beautiful day!

Thank you for the sweet comments and the cute pictures. I loved them!

Things are going well. I keep getting up and doing things from time to time, but I have been able to rest a lot. My midwife was amazed and said I look great. She said it about 4 times - made me feel so good!

The kids are helping a lot, and my husband is being good to me. I think he's glad to have me back, if you know what I mean.

Love,
Penney

Hey Jasmine,

I had my baby! She was born 8-6-08 at 8:11 PM. She came so fast I almost didn't make it to the birth center in time! God answered my prayers for a quick delivery. Her name is Abigail Eden. She is healthy and beautiful! I'll post pictures soon. I'm on the wrong computer right now.

Thank you for praying for me!

Love,
Penney

Hi Jasmine,

I think I'll have this baby soon, maybe tomorrow! I would appreciate prayer for my labor and delivery. I'm praying for a quick, easy, pain-free delivery.

I think this birth is going to be very special.

Thanks,

How are you doing?

Love,
Penney

Hi Jasmine,

Only one of my kids does stuff with the CEC. Anna goes on Sunday mornings. She's 11 years old. She also went to the Samuel Company tracks 1 and 2. I think she's going to the Signs and Wonders camp next week. I haven't heard from them about how and when I pay for it. I have mixed feelings about the way they do things, especially with the younger kids. They kind of do things from a public school perspective, like thinking an age means you have to move to the next class, even if your child is more comfortable with younger children and expecting 2-yr-olds to color in the lines and obey the teacher perfectly. I have been really watching what goes on with Anna. She had 2 dreams about Samuel Company that seemed to be warning dreams. So we're just praying all along the way. And I keep checking with her about what happens each time.
My 14-yr-old daughter says that Anna seems to have been drawn away from our family by all these outside activities. I can't rely totally on her assessment, but we have talked to Anna about Katie's perception. Anna is watching her own heart in the whole matter. My other kids seem content to just get their spiritual instruction and fellowship here at home. Gary and I go to the Sunday morning meetings, and we share with the kids what we think is important for them to know. Anna is very aware that we are in the end-times and that things are going to get really bad in the near future. But I think it has been handled pretty well, and she's not fearful about it. I'm thankful for this time at IHOP. I think Mike has good, solid teaching. It's the best "church" we've ever been in. I wouldn't want to go back to a regular church again. We've suffered too much at the hands of "religious" people.
I think the CEC has a lot of good things about it. Their teaching is good and they treat the kids as though they can get to know God for themselves. It's really important to me that my kids know that. I would recommend their teachings. I'm just very careful about putting my kids into situations where things will be expected of them that I believe are unrealistic, or just not important.

That's my opinion in a nutshell.

Thank you so much for visiting me.

Oh, about school. We try to keep some things going throughout the summer. I keep a read-aloud going. We keep the Bible study going. I've been making some lapbooks with different ages of the kids.

We enjoy our days more when we have some kind of purpose to accomplish. I learned that after years of aimless wandering through the summers!

Hi Jasmine,

I left you a comment on my own page again! I keep forgetting how all this works!

Happy Independence Day!

We're doing a 4th of July lapbook. And we've been listening to Adventures in Odyssey and Homeschoolradioshows audios, so my kids should know why we celebrate the 4th of July.

We're all doing fine. I went to my doctor's appt. today and everything is fine with the baby. My son has been trying to do things he couldn't do before, and it seems he might be gaining some flexibility. I'd like to take him back, but I don't know if he'll go. But we keep praying for complete healing.

Keep me posted on your daughter.

Love,
Penney
