About Me:

I have a 5, a 7 and a 8 year old. I homeschool them all. We are a Christian family in Northern Arizona. I'm excited to get started lapbooking with the Thanksgiving study!

So, we managed to finish all our Family Research Lapbooks in time for Christmas, and they were a huge hit. (If you didn't read my blog about this idea, you can...it was dated November 20th) Here are some pictures of the first one we did (We did eight families, and it took us most of December to do all the research and make the little books for them!)

Slide show of our Thanksgiving Lapbooks

I didn't go into detail on all of it. Some of the ideas we thought of ourselves were:
1. The gravestone book telling about all the pilgrims who died during the winter
2. cherry pie recipe wheel
3. Thanksgiving memories quilt - in each quilt square the kids shared a memory of a different cousing (they happened to have 12 cousins there!)
4. What the pilgrims believed - we talked about predestination, infant baptism, and other beliefs of the pilgrims

My Christmas gift idea

What else would it be? Lapbooks! I just thought of it in the middle of the night. You see, most of our family lives far away and none of them home school their kids. Last year I sent out a monthly newsletter to tell everyone what we are learning, and how smart my kids are. This year I have been busier than I was last year so they haven't gotten ANY updates yet.
