Tanya you are very kind :D

We are new to lapbooks, maybe about a month or so... and we have really taken a liking to them. My children, 11, 6, and 4 love to do them together. We do our individual seat work, and then go on to our lapbooks together.
The key for us is to find a subject that we want to learn about, then put all the neat info we learn into one place... a lapbook. My children return often to the completed ones, and we even find ourselves adding more to it as time goes on. My children learn very well from this, and it promotes "teamwork." It works well for our family.
You will find your groove, and what works best for your family :)

"He is educated who can find out what he does not know." Georg Simmel 1875... and isn't that the whole point? We are all learning together :) Remember to have fun! That's the key!
Enjoy the learning experience along side your children :) We only have them for a season.

Have a beautifully blessed day :D Loni

Please,Please,Please put your hat back on. I have only been able to do three because we have not done any school this week. We do three weeks on, one week off. This is that week off.

I also have the whole family help put them together. I think that my husband has done all of the cutting out and folding. My 13 year old has done most of the printing, and I have done all of the planning.
So please save the hat tipping for someone that deserves it.

I would love to have you add me as a friend. I will also add you, if that is o.k.?

Have a great day today, or would that be night, there?
What is the time difference?
Well, have a great day or sleep well, whatever one applies.
God Bless,
Fern

Hi Tanya - thanks for the nice compliment. I think lapbooking came easily to our family because we've been scrapbooking our pictures over the years which is similar in many ways.

I look forward to seeing your butterfly lapbook. I made the mistake thinking a lapbook could be done in one day. We found it works better to do one mini-book at a setting and then when you have enough mini-books done, it is a lot easier to put it all together.

have fun!

Welcome. I am new here too. I have been a member for about a week now and have put together three lapbooks.
Don't get overwhelmed with what others are doing, go at your own pace.
Have a God blessed Day,

Thank you for the compliment. I was so excited to join and then my son lost interest in lap books so I've been kind lazy about my activity. I need to get back at it or at least try! May I add you as a friend?

Profile Information

About Me:
Hi, I'm a homeschooling mom to my 2 sons Logan (almost6yrs old) & Luc (aged2).I would love 2learn how to make a lapbook. At the moment I'm putting information together to make a lapbook! I first discovered lapbooks when I came across the Beatitudes lapbook from CurricClick which I downloaded and made in September. Since then I've discovered that it can be used for a multitude of lessons; I'm so happy to have found this group!
