We've just wrapped up our studies on The Oregon Trail, and I've put together a lapbook to go alongside it! The minibooks would be great for any Westward Expansion Theme, Early American, and Pioneer themes as well.

I've just put up two new Prince and Princess mission lapbooks for your little ones. These are perfect for when you are expecting a new baby, and y…

This is a Kit Kittredge Lapbook based on the Movie that was just released this Fall 2008. Kit Kittredge: An American Girl was based on the American Girl books by Valerie Trip, but I'm not sure how "related" the movie is to the books because we haven't read them yet. The movie was super cute, so we just had to make a lapbook f…

I'm working on updating and adding to our Lapbook Template section. These are some fun Bible Verse Pockets you can use for storing children's verse cards with. Just glue the sides and the bottom and keep the memory verse inside
I've just revamped the "Bible Lapbook" page so that you'll be able to see small thumbnails of the minibooks before you print them. I've also added a Bible Lapbook Title Page and a Bible Names minibook.

We are new to lapbooks, maybe about a month or so... and we have really taken a liking to them. My children, 11, 6, and 4 love to do them together. We do our individual seat work, and then go on to our lapbooks together.
The key for us is to find a subject that we want to learn about, then put all the neat info we learn into one place... a lapbook. My children return often to the completed ones, and we even find ourselves adding more to it as time goes on. My children learn very well from this, and it promotes "teamwork." It works well for our family.
You will find your groove, and what works best for your family :)
"He is educated who can find out what he does not know." Georg Simmel 1875... and isn't that the whole point? We are all learning together :) Remember to have fun! That's the key!
Enjoy the learning experience along side your children :) We only have them for a season.
Have a beautifully blessed day :D Loni
I also have the whole family help put them together. I think that my husband has done all of the cutting out and folding. My 13 year old has done most of the printing, and I have done all of the planning.
So please save the hat tipping for someone that deserves it.
I would love to have you add me as a friend. I will also add you, if that is o.k.?
Have a great day today, or would that be night, there?
What is the time difference?
Well, have a great day or sleep well, whatever one applies.
God Bless,

I look forward to seeing your butterfly lapbook. I made the mistake thinking a lapbook could be done in one day. We found it works better to do one mini-book at a setting and then when you have enough mini-books done, it is a lot easier to put it all together.
have fun!

Don't get overwhelmed with what others are doing, go at your own pace.
