Time Line & Paper Dolls

I've been very busy these last few weeks...preparing for the upcoming school year.
We've add to our school curricululm 'The Mystery of History'. This history curriculum has a 'timeline' activity in which you cut out historical people both biblical and secular and add them to your time line. In the MOH book they give you a sample of an oulined paper doll , but I wasn't happy with it so, I began searching for 'free paper dolls' and came across this site… Continue

A Change of Plans...it's homeschooler's progitive, isn't it?

Well, there has been a change of plans, we had planned on starting our zoology curriculum this week, but we've changed it to the first or second week of August. I was going to purchase the zoology 1 lapbook, however, when I looked at the samples I thought, 'wow, I believe I could make these...'
well, with the help of some great ladies @ homeschoolshare yahoo group, I am now in the process of creating mini books for a "FREE" Zoology 1 Lapbook. The target date to complete the insect section… Continue

Ye have not because ye ask not...so we're askin

On Monday we are starting a new science curriculum, Exploring Creation with Zoology 1: Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day, I was trying to wait till school started in the first of August, but most of the insects will be gone...besides, the insect we want to observe over the summer dies out about Oct, and we want to observe it for at least four months...so here we are starting it on Monday and we are so excited. I did a search on purchasing a live Mantis via the internet and those babies start at… Continue

Best Day Ever...

My husband said this was the best Father's Day ever...wow, each year we buy him a card and gift and cook a special dinner. This year was different the girls made him a lapbook, duct tape wallet, and a treat bag; who would have ever guessed that it was hand made gifts that touched their daddy's heart, he actually teared up...
He has set the lapbook with the wallet next to his lunch bag to take to work with him in the morning, he said he was so proud that he wanted to share it with his co-workers.… Continue

New Pics Posted

So I've added new pics to my photos and am starting a new photo album...it's still in the making because it's our Father's day lapbook. On 'My Page' I've add a photo slide of the girls as they were working on the lapbook. We had to stop because dad came home. I also found a Father' Day Treat Bag that I've decided we'll use instead of the 'Survival Kit'...the 'treat bag' is much cuter. And finally I'm thinking about buying a wooden h… Continue

Hi Penny,

My name is Penney! I just saw your picture and name next to mine in the list of members and thought I would check you out! It sounds like you love lapbooks, too. I made a Father's Day lapbook for my own dad this year. The kids weren't excited about doing it, so I did it myself. I used the free one from Live and Learn Press.
Come on over to my page and visit some time.

Love,
Penney

Your praying mantis looks so cool. We lost all of our nymphs, we couldn't feed them next time we will be more prepared. From what you told me hermit crabs molt like that too that if they have a incomplete molt they will die, ours did die. Thank you so much for showing and sharing of the photos of the praying mantis you have She is just beautiful and lovely. Thanks for sharing the link as well, maybe next year we will do better, I am very excited to see what happens with your praying mantis since ours did not turn out completely successful.
Thanks again for sharing, I greatly appreciate it. :)

Hugs,
Sheila

Hi, your lapbook was beautiful you really did a good job! I teach sunday school and I'm exploring the idea for my class to start something different for them. I really liked yours and everyone here is so created although I'm not I'm willing to try it. I was jewish growing up in a jewish family and when I got married to my husband he was christian and introduced me to jesus and I haven't been the same ever since. Jesus has changed my life and I couldn't live with out him, he is totally awsome! And it's so nice to meet new people all over the world that love jesus too! Talk to you soon. Jesus loves you! Your Father's day lapbook looks great! I plan on doing one next year but with Flag Day and Father's Day on the same day, well it was a tough choice. But my son who is very patriotic and in love with US History, was very influential in my choice.
