Registration for classes in January ends September 30th so register now if you're interested.
www.homeschoolscienceacademy.comI had forgotten about this great website until I received an e-mail today about
discounted registration for
January classes. I'd read where Professor Landry said that, as a college professor and homeschool dad, he saw homeschoolers unready for college in two areas: One was Laboratory Sciences and I honestly don't remember the other (it's late). I think it would be worth your time to visit this
site .
From the site:"The Lord has given me a passion for teaching students about the human body and how this complex creation of His testifies to His glory. For example, I love teaching about the pancreas, the microscopic precision with which it operates, and how many small steps have to go just right every second of every day just for us to live.. not to mention the kidneys, heart, brain, liver, and a "simple" movement of the finger, driven by the "simple" contraction of a muscle.
My
residential camps are geared toward college-bound students but are appropriate for all students who are interested in the human body. This "Human Anatomy and Physiology" is an experience that few students have access to at this level.
We offer
online classes and residential camps that are appropriate for all 6th -12th grade students, but are especially geared toward students interested in careers such as medicine, forensic anatomy / pathology CSI, nursing, exercise science, biology, chemistry, dentistry, athletic training, nutrition, health promotion, physical therapy, physician's assistant, occupational therapy, etc. Also, it's been my experience that the information and experience offered in our classes and camps often sparks an interest in students that was previously undiscovered."

As for the vids I use my digital camera on video mode. Then after I record I use the cord it came with to upload the pics and videos to my computer. Than from there I can do one of 3 things. Upload it directly to Youtube, Upload it to www.onetruemedia.com and edit it in there, or upload it to windows movie maker which is already on my computer. Trust me that I am not the most technical person but once I did 1 or 2 it got easy after that.
