Hi Nancy,
Welcome to Lapbook Lessons! You wrote on my blog that you will be using Little Hearts for His Glory this year with your daughter, just like me. I'm glad to have another friend to bounce things off! My package of curriculum came in the mail yesterday, and I have been pouring over it.
You mentioned doing a lapbook on the frog and toad book...are you doing the emergent readers, too? (The first one is Owl at Home, the next two are Frog and Toad books.) I ask because I know the reading schedule is in the Beyond manual, and I am still trying to decide if I should buy that early just for the schedule and comprehension questions. Do you already have the Beyond manual?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I don't like this last minute waffling...but the perfectionist in me wants it all to be perfect!
Again, welcome!
Blessings,

About Me:
Hi, my name is Nancy and I am new to homeschooling and lapbooking. Did i mention that I also work a full-time job! Thankfully I work nights and my husband is SUPER supportive (and ready to step in when necessary) of my desire to homeschool. I have a 4, almost 5, year-old daughter named Dina and an 11 month-old baby boy named Caleb. Bless my daughter's heart, she is overjoyed at having mommy and daddy teach her, rather than go to school.

Lapbooks seem like a lot of fun. I plan on starting our school year early so that we can take a break from the regular curriculum to do short unit studies and now lapbooks.

This is a Kit Kittredge Lapbook based on the Movie that was just released this Fall 2008. Kit Kittredge: An American Girl was based on the American Girl books by Valerie Trip, but I'm not sure how "related" the movie is to the books because we haven't read them yet. The movie was super cute, so we just had to make a lapbook f…
