We've just wrapped up our studies on The Oregon Trail, and I've put together a lapbook to go alongside it! The minibooks would be great for any Westward Expansion Theme, Early American, and Pioneer themes as well.
You can see photos and download the files from this page in our site:…

I've just put up two new Prince and Princess mission lapbooks for your little ones. These are perfect for when you are expecting a new baby, and y…

This is a Kit Kittredge Lapbook based on the Movie that was just released this Fall 2008. Kit Kittredge: An American Girl was based on the American Girl books by Valerie Trip, but I'm not sure how "related" the movie is to the books because we haven't read them yet. The movie was super cute, so we just had to make a lapbook f…

I'm working on updating and adding to our Lapbook Template section. These are some fun Bible Verse Pockets you can use for storing children's verse cards with. Just glue the sides and the bottom and keep the memory verse inside
I've just revamped the "Bible Lapbook" page so that you'll be able to see small thumbnails of the minibooks before you print them. I've also added a Bible Lapbook Title Page and a Bible Names minibook.

I love your calendar but I can not read what the poems say. Would you be willing to share the poems with us? I would love to make these for my MMO kids for their parents. Thanks so much in advance. Rhonda
Projects - sometimes inspiration hits and planning goes quickly, but most of the time I seem to research and take alot of time adapting. Since I have 1 high school, 1 middle school, and 1 elementary (and they like to do similar topics at the same time), I have to adjust each one for their own level. I add stuff to make the oldests harder, and simplify tremendously for the young guy. Whereas the youngest gets more games and "cutsey" stuff for learning, the oldest has more research and writing involved. My favorite places to find ideas are Homeschool Share and Enchanted Learning. I can sort of run with their plans but personalize them for the children. The kids are the ones that come up with the cool stuff! When they get an idea, I let them go with it as long as they are learning the information I want them to know.
I'm sure your kids will love the ideas you plan for them! The planning time is worth it when they get excited about a topic!
Go Steelers!!! I'm a huge fan although I haven't lived there since I was 12. So many relatives are in the area that Pittsburgh is still home!

I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your sampler lapbook...it is neat to see the different mini books/folds all in one spot. I had never seen the double poof book, so that was really neat for me...though it must take alot of info to fill it! I could have used it in our flowers/seeds lapbook, as we had several minibooks that I just glued in flat...that would have been a better way to display them I think...oh well, next time!
Blessings,
