RAIN FOREST LAPBOOK

Over the month of February my 9 year old studied the rain forest. He hadn't done a lapbook in a very long time. It was a long enough break to give him so that he was excited again to work in this format. You see, he sometimes has trouble with working this way, it stresses him out a… Continue

Completed Bug Lapbook "Butterfly and Moth"

I'm finally posting the pictures of the June Lapbook on Bugs. Pictures are on my personal blog.
http://liveswearegiven.blogspot.com/2008/07/butterfly-and-moth-lapbook.html

My boy didn't have as much fun with this one as I thought he would. He's the type of kid that wants to get the work done and move on quickly, so going back and forth into a topic that didn't really excite him was hard throughout the mont… Continue

Little Laplinks "BUGS" June Lapbook

Well, we didn't get around to the May Lapbook on flowers. I did collect from sites and organize a bit, but no go. Now bugs, that's easy for my boys to get into, especially when our city/area is being taken over by... cue the scary music folks.
Tent Caterpillars.
I'm not very fond of them when they are everywhere. I'm nervous to go on walks because to step under a tree might mean I'll get caterpillars or their silk on me. ICK!
No nature walks in the woods for this lady for another month or so. Yi… Continue

Just dropping in to say hello! How are the sunflowers coming??? I had to hunt you down because you are not in my friends... Are you still in snow??? I went to Canada once when I was about 10. It was great. My mom still has the pic of me standing with one foot in Canada and one foot in the U.S. :-)
OK! I had to come back and re-write my post here. I just found your blog... how nice, I love it! I love the lacing idea, I wish I would have had that idea awhile back :-( Anyway, nice blog, I will check it out sometimes! Bye for now :-)

I know about the snow... I was born in Maine, where most of my family still lives. Now, I live way south in Mississippi. I like the warm weather but hate the hurricane season :-( I love the lapbook holder idea! We need to make one also.

This is a Kit Kittredge Lapbook based on the Movie that was just released this Fall 2008.
