Hello!
I meant to share this earlier with everyone. This is a Christmas Memory Tree to hold photos. I don't have photos to show you how it is put together, but I can tell you everything I used to create these gifts. Flower pot (I use 4" tall pots/4.25" diam); fabric to cover the pot (or paint); craft foam 1/2 circles (check to make sure they fit in the pot); ribbon; dry grass; floral wire (heavier the better); artificial poinsettias; scissors; needle nose pliers; hot glue
I cut enough fabric to cover the exterior of the pot (I leave 1" of fabric that extends over the rim - hot glue 4 corners of fabric to rim of pot. Pleat the excess fabric and hot glue it to the pot; cut off any excess, but leave at least 1" to glue to the inside of the pot.
Next fit the craft foam snuggly into the pot. Now is the time to use ribbon to wrap around the rim of the pot (or whatever you might like to embellish the rim). I also cut cardinals out of the fabric I was using, glued it to cardstock. One cardinal sits in the spiral, the other is glued to floral wire and placed into the foam.
Now comes the grass. Drizzle hot glue over the foam and quickly put the grass on the foam. Make sure the foam is not completely covered with glue.
Next, grab the thick gauge floral wire at the end with the needle nose pliers. Begin wrapping the wire loosely around the pliers. Fit the wire into the second layer of the petals and hot glue - you can see the spiraled wire in the photos; you can make the spirals as large or small as you like, just make sure they can hold a photo! Once you have all of your wires glued to the poinsettias, place the end of the wire through the craft foam to create your arrangement. Everyone loves them! You can make a Family Tree; Birthday Tree, etc.,
