Profile Information

About Me:
I am a full time student majoring in communications and education. I am the mother of three sons 21, 18, 17 all working and going to school. I have 2 step children 18, 15 who live about 60 miles away in Greeley, CO. The 21yr old, 2 18 yr olds and hubby are all in college with me this year. It should get crazy around here very soon.Education is very important to me. I nanny for my brothers 10 month old twins (boy and girl) and 3yr old boy. I am doing preschool with the older boy. I am a messianic Jewish person who loves to dance for the Lord. My oldest son just got engaged with a wedding to follow in May. My husband writes music for the Lord. I am a scrapper and all over like to stay busy and try new crafts and other projects. I love camping, hiking, spending time with my family, and enjoy dancing. I am a born again Christian of Jewish background so I keep the feasts of the old testament. I am loving life and could not ask for anything more or better for where my life is at and where it is going.

I need money for college...

If I can ever finish school I am opening a school run like a homeschool with lapbooks and literature, hands on activities and field trips. I think is very important for children to have choices not only what they want to learn but how best to deliver it.
This said, I have entered a contest to win money for college. It is real simple, if you like my picture, please vote for it. If you don't, I'm good with that too.

Asking for Lapbook Pics for College Speech Presentation

Another brilliant idea...pics to add to power point. I want pics of child made as well as adult made books. Open or closed. I cannot use them all, will cite whoever i use. Please email pics to faithmomof3@hotmail.com. I only need a few so please limit it to one pic per person as well as please mark age of child who made it. I would like preschool thru high school pictures. Also, must be clear to see any size is fine.

I am thanking you in advance

Peace...Shalom

PS need them by Thursday morning… Continue

Finished letter S book, pics to follow

Oscar had so much fun making his letter S book. We used sunflower seeds to make a tactile letter. We has seals, sailboats, and spiders, snakes and skunks. He had a great time.
We are starting letter "O" later this week. He is choosing a letter at a time. No reason to start him that there is only one way to do something.

Shalom....Peace during Sukkot

Thanks for the appreciation. It was not my first lapbook .. I have couple of others too... like about teaching about colors, and about butterflies. I got to take pictures of them and post it on my page. Thanks for all your encouragement. I am beginning to like and also realizing how effective it is in teaching children. So I guess I will keep making more...

So do have any projects going on in India. I remember you saying that your husband huge is connected to some mission work in Asia. Please let me know If we could be of any help.
I still have to send you our family picture... we are looking for a good one...

I think I should say "shalom my friend" instead of a bye
Keep working on your Shabath lapbook!

Hey, thanks for enlightiening me on that.(blog ) I will looks at some blogs. I appreciate that.

Thanks for add us to your list of friends too. We are Seventh Day Adventist family. We love the Lord and want to serve him.

I got to do some lapbooking for our daughter (3.9 year old ) before we put her into the near by Adventist school. Well the schools here use more of the monotonous lecture method to teach.

I was a teacher for seven years and love to be with children. With the shift fro, school to office work. I miss the children.

So I spend time with my daughter and try some new methods of teaching with her.

Well lets see how God leads. THis site is great help. Get to meet homeschooling people. Home schooling in India is not advisable. The education system is not quite open to this way of teaching.
People have to send the children to school despite the odds.

Please do remember our family (Wife - Hoihnu and Daughter - Rebekah )in your prayer. Glad to know about you and your family.

We will share more.
Thanks for all your help.
Bye
God bless.

I'm kind of getting curious about "messianic Jewish ". Can share me more about this when you have time. I bet you are a busy person with all that you do.

Unlike the other christians we Adventist keep the seventh Day Sabbath. Some people blame us to be following the Jewish tradition.

I guess it is O.K. talking to you about this. If not just let me know.

One of these days I got to make a Lapbook about Creation and Sabbath. Have you come accross any before.

I want you to know that I am glad that you added me on to your friends list.

Well time is always a challenge. I work full time 8:30 to 5:30 . with a one hour luch break.

Any way that's how it goes. I will be glad to hear from you.

Happy lapbooking

God bless
Alwyn
