River update

For those of you who are faithfully praying for this little boy and his family. The latest news is that he is off life support, but other than that there is little change. He basically in an unsupported coma. Your prayers are most valuable as we pray that when he wakes up his brain will be fully repaired and functioning as it should. I know that OUR GOD is able!
Thankyou everyone.
In Him,
Caroline.

For those of you who are praying for River...

Please keep praying. Last I heard there was 'no change' but that was about a week ago. He was still on life support and not conscious at this point. I am waiting on another friend to keep me posted and as I know I will post here too.
Thankyou all for your lifting up of this little lad before Our Father.
Many Blessings to you all

PLEASE PRAY..!

I have a friend who's little boy of 5 is in a critical condition. They live in the countryside and about a week ago the children were out playing. They went near a field they had been told not to go near and the little lad had a farm gate fall on him. The little girl ran back to get my friend (Mum), who fortunately had another friend with her at the time who is a Dr, but when they got to the lad he was not breathing and had no heartbeat. They did resuscitate him, but he is now on life support an… Continue

LAPNOTES

I've been putting my ABC Lapbook over on the LapNotes page - it's easier to update and 'tweak' from there as I have noticed things that don't quite work in the making. I can edit the files there and update them which is so much easier than the 'share your lapbook' page. I think you will all find it nicely organised over in LapNotes. Valerie is building an 'index' pageContinue

Hi, I am VERY new to these Lapbooks but I LOVE them! I'm still very confused on how to assemble these, how long they take to make, does EVERY child make one (or is it completed as a class). I loved your Alphabet Lapbook resources but to be honest I don't know where to put what and how is each letter introduced?!?! It has to be a lengthily on-going project because there are many objectives being introduced and taught (this is what I love about these)!
Anyway, I teach 1st grade in a public school in Texas and I'm looking for an age appropriate "Texas LapBook" for the students to make and displayed during our Open House, which is in March... I've taught 2nd grade for the last 18 years and from what I've heard this is 1st grade's THEME OF THE YEAR! Therefore, I want to be ready with a project that's different and unique. I've seen what 1st grade has made in the past and I’m not very impressed nor do I want to waste my precious teaching time making "crafts" that represent our state of Texas.
I would love some suggestions and help because I'd like to set this going but right now, I'm at a loss as to even where to begin. I just recently ran across this "concept!” I LOVE the idea of these Lapbooks because there are many cross-curricular objectives taught!
Please advise...
Thank You,
Shannon Widney

Thanks

Caroline,

I'm updating the LapWiki pages, I've moved your Alphabet Lapbook to this link

http://lapbooklessons.ning.com/page/alphabet-lapbook

You can update it from here, and I added in a photo slideshow so that anything added to the album will appear automatically on the slides.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to edit or update, I'm glad to help.

Hope your Spring is going good! I've got about two months left before I'm off the scene for a while, LOL, I'm sure though I'll figure out a way to nurse and type at the same time!

Blessings,

Valerie

Caroline, thanks for the compliemnts on the Cars tot-book, I am so glad you will be able to sue it!!!

Also, on a side note, I think it was you awhile back that offered me advice on my son's pencil grip. I remember replying but I don't know if I ever finished the reply and sent it, so if I didn't (I am like that) I apologize!!! I am an airhead until something reminds me again! Maybe it wasn't even you, but I think it was. Anyway, I have been working with him more and got him a few tools to help, so thank you!

Hope that helps some folks.

This is a Kit Kittredge Lapbook based on the Movie that was just released this Fall 2008.
