About Me:
I am a homeschooling mom to 2 boys, my 1st grader and my tot-schooler (yes we made up that name). I am a married to a wonderful man and we are full time missionaries serving in the inner-city of America. We live and minister in one of America's most crime filled cities, relying on God for our strength to get through each day.

I taught K in the public schools for 5 years and have a degree in Early Childhood Ed. I love homeschooling, although it is not something I EVER thought I would do. Definitely a God-led thing for us!

Hi Carisa:
I just want to say I love your blog and all your amazing ideas.... you are truly creative and gifted in training up children... truly an inspiration!!!

I wanted to do a pumpkin lesson (Halloween Jesus is the Light) and a fall lapbook. I was trying to open up the templates ( pumpkin and fall concept book) but it wont open. I was wondering if there is anyway you can email them to me.

I would really appreciate it!!!

Many Blessings
Monica

Hey Carisa,

I had my baby. Abigail Eden was born 8-6-08 at 8:11 PM. She came quick. Labor was only 2 hours. I almost had her in the car!

Now we have 10!

Love,
Penney

Hi Carisa,
Yeah that was me about the pencil grip :) If you did send the reply I never got it, but that's OK - we all have busy lives!! Has anything you have got helped his writing any yet? Initially I know it often seems to make things worse and their little hands take a while to adjust to different muscles being used, but it is worth it in the long run - I believe :)
Thanks for stopping by to comment. I have already printed off and made the Cars lapbook for ds, and you wouldn't believe what happiness 9 sheets of card can bring :)

About where I got the math mini office items... I found them scattered on the internet. I am sorry that I don't post 'where' I get them (especially your poem & whatever else I grabbed of yours) I just do soooo much browsing and grabbing things on different websites that it would be so hard to mention 'where'! I do know that I got a bunch of stuff here: http://www.busyteacherscafe.com/mini_offices.htm
I did save that site in my favorites :-)

This is a Kit Kittredge Lapbook based on the Movie that was just released this Fall 2008.
