Lapbook Lessons

Man, is it March already? My goodness, that sure came quick! I've been working soooo hard at getting the main Lapbook Lessons site re-vamped that I've forgotten to post about the March Laplinks meme! I hope you can forgive my oversight!

This month we had 60 votes on the theme, and it looks like Easter / Resurrection Lapbook won by a landslide! So that will be the theme of our March Lapbook! Remember Easter is early this year, Sunday March 23rd, so you've got a couple weeks to work on these with your children!
And, if you'd like to participate this month, all you have to do is go find some good Easter Resources and post them to your blog, then come back and leave us a link in the comments section. Then when you've got some pictures up of your lapbook, come back and let us know so we can check it out!
So I'll kick things off, Here are some fun Easter Resources to get you started!

Easter Egg Template--This would be a great way to do the resurrection eggs lapbook!

Easter Bingo, Easter Games, Printable Resurrection Egg Tokens- These are all found on CPP's Easter Pages

www.littleblots.com"">He is Risen Craft & Easter Coloring Pages-- These are all found on Little Blots (free membership)

Resurrection Bible Verse Cards-- You can add your own verse, make 8 same or 8 different!

Easter Activities

Resurrection Scavenger Hunt

Okay, there, that ought to get you excited about finding some more fun Easter Resources! Let's see what you come up with!

Anyway, this is going to work a bit differently this time around because we're switching over to this new platform for our site. So, please bear with me and be patient as I figure out the best way to do this, and work out the kinks along the way!

I also wanted to share that valerie has the hosanna palm branches you can print up
http://www.christianpreschoolprintables.com/files/Palm_Branches2.pdf

Also if your looking for another selection of Easter Eggs for the Resurrection Eggs here is another:
http://www.coloring.ws/t.asp?b=m&t=http://www.coloring.ws/easte...

Valerie also has the Bingo Dauber's page of the cross, we are going to color these dots the colors of the Jelly Bean Prayer (atleast that is what I think it's called) Leaving more white if needed.
http://www.rainbowcastle.org/jellybeanprayer.html

we also printed up the resurrection puzzle for dltk-kids.com
and the resurrection rolls recipe from dltk kids looks to be the easiest for a preschool child.

Hope maybe these pages help.

Hi Sheila,
I couldn't find the Bingo dauber page you mention in your post...it took me to the jelly bean prayer, but I didn't see a link to the cross for daubing. I guess any image of a cross would work.
I have some daubers, but I don't think I have all the right colors (we always buy more when we go camping -that's the only time we play bingo - and I tend to gravitate towards the pinks! lol) SO I thought I can't be the only one who doesn't have all the colors...then I thought another way for someone to do the activity would be to use acrylic, tempra or finger paints and the kids thumb or finger tips...just a thought.
Blessings,

Southmsmomof4 mentioned wanting an activity to do for Judas's 30 coins...well, let me tell you - I had a lightbulb moment, and created a worksheet...I'm sure it can be adapted for older/younger kids... I designed it especially for my 5yo who is getting proficient at writing double and triple digit numbers. I thought this would be a great exercise, and would lead into a discussion/lesson on counting by 5s...
I hope you all can use it as well!

One is colored (the coins are gold) the other is gray scale (note the -gry in the file name.) The gray is probably better since the coins were silver...food for thought.

Anyhow, the images are rather large (for quality sake), so if you want to print from the browser, use the print preview option and shrink to fit -OR- save it to your hard drive, and then under print preferences you can do the same thing.

Blessings,

I came across some famous paintings today depicting the last days of the life of Christ...last supper, Gethsemene (sp?), his death, mourners at the grave, empty tomb, resurrected appearances...I don't know the actual names of the painting or the artists...
However, I have the book and cards for "Mommy, It's a Renoir" and I was thinking why couldn't we do something similar for this lapbook? Art appreciation? Art exposure anyway....think a memory game with actual paintings for the littlest ones and perhaps for the older kiddos learning the name of the artist, time period, painting style, etc.
I wonder if anyone else has something similar in the works? Perhaps you have already done the research on painting/artist names, and would be willing to share?
Just a thought.
Have a great night, I'm off to bed now *yawn*
