Lapbook Lessons

Hi!

Has anyone ever done a lapbook based on what their child has learned or accomplished that school year? Kind of a culminating project of the school year now coming to a close. Please share what you have done or some links that could be of some help. I have done several searches and all that I was able to find was a lapbook titled "About Me". More for a younger aged child. By the way mt children are fifth, third and K.

Thank you,
Amy

Hey Amy. I have not thought of this, but it sounds like a great lapbooking project. I will, however; share a post from my blog. I found a super idea from another blog on how to keep your child's school work & art work off your fridge, so this idea may help steer you in the right direct.
http://holylonestar.blogspot.com/2009/05/organizing-to-master.html This link will lead you to my blog & you can follow it to Sandy's blog from there. Let me know if you can use it and how it goes.

Also, I will be posting soon on Faithbooking . . . My mom is a 6th grade teacher and thought it would be great with my scrapbooking talent to help "The Scout" develop his writing skills through making a Faith Book Journal. Even though it won't technically be a Lapbook, it will be Notebooking . . . I'll post as soon as we get it started. Perhaps this is another way to "wrap-up" the school year.

Be blessed.

Thank you for your response Heather. I already have been doing the folder system for the past two years now. It works great for us. Thank you for the link. There is some valuable stuff there but I have to say this was not quite what I had in mind for a lapbook.

Blessings,
Amy

We did an End of the School Year Lapbook. It was an older "About Me" lapbook idea where my child shared about what she enjoyed in school, etc. She is at a grade two level now but some components of the lapbook could be used with an older child. It's featured on our lapbooking blog.
