Lapbook Lessons

Hearts at Home Store

We've just wrapped up our studies on The Oregon Trail, and I've put together a lapbook to go alongside it! The minibooks would be great for any Westward Expansion Theme, Early American, and Pioneer themes as well.

You can see photos and download the files from this page in our site:

The File Folder Games to review key facts are on our sister site here:

And the Crafts and Activities are posted on our Homeschool Blog:

We had a great time learning about The Oregon Trail, any age is a fantastic age for this topic!

If you have any questions, comment or have a helpful link that we should add to the list, please let us know on this post in our forum:

Looks good. Thanks for adding that. I'll probably use it next school year. I do have one comment to make: Thanks for making me feel old. LOL! You wrote, "And of course, you can't learn about the Oregon Trail without playing the fun computer game that we all grew up with!" It was released for sale the year I turned 21yo. We didn't have computers when I was in school. We didn't even have word processors. The first one of those came into my high school the summer after I graduated. I learned to type on a 1940's or so typewriter when I was in middle school. I thought it was something when I got to high school typing class and there were two electric IBM typewriters with rolling balls. I had to use carbon paper for making duplicates while typing. I sure don't miss that!
What perfect timing!! We are just in our first week of learning about the Oregon Trail! I must recommend the book Bound for Oregon. It is fantastic!
Wow! This looks GREAT!! I was looking for a fun history unit for next year- and now I have found it!! Thanks so very much!!!
Hello there Valerie,

I am ssssoooo very excited when I saw the Oregon Trail Lapbook completed. I immediately downloaded everything and ready to go. Awesome job!

There are some missing pieces like the spin wheel, the question cards and 3 other pics that are missing and I could not find to download.. Am I missing something here?? Still new at all this and loving it each day! Thanks for all the hard work you all do.
