Lapbook Lessons

We recently complete a lapbook on Johnny Appleseed and loved it. It was all printed out for us though. I want to make a general health lapbook with my daughter. We need something to document that we did health this year for school and I thought a lapbook would be perfect. I'm not sure how to start without a kit though. Can anybody help me?

When I start a general topic I start with writing out the info I want them to know. Then start dividing that info into minibooks/questions, sections of the lapbook. I will usually draw out a simple sketch to see my space limits and/or how many folders we need to use. ( here is a link to our body book we did last year, somewhat health related) Once you know what info you want you can start on activities to get that info covered and into the lapbook, look online- there is A LOT online, to add. Hope that helps some....

Kay, thanks for the links. I have already begun our health lapbook. I will probably use some of the info in the future though. I live in MD where health is a required subject so I'll probably end up doing something like this every year.

I'll post some pictures once we complete the book. Thanks to everybody for the links and ideas!!
