Original Post Follows:

Well ladies and gents it's time for our March Lapbook Contest! It seems that our monthly contests are a bit hit, so we're going to keep them going for a while......(at least until June....I'm due in July, so I'm sure I'll be taking a bit of a hiatus to welcome our new family member)

Anyway, for our March Contest I thought we'd make it a little bit like our monthly group themes. Earth Day is April 22nd, and I thought it would be fun to generate a list of resources and links we can all share and use for making an Earth Day lapbook.

And for participating you'll be entered into a random drawing for a $15 giftcard to www.CurrClick.com where you can pick up more lapbooking and homeschooling supplies!

So, ready to join the fun? For this month's contest all you have to do is..............

1. Add a link below for helpful resources for making an Earth Day Lapbook. (If you can help it try to share one that hasn't already been shared) And if you can let us know what exactly to expect when we click on that link (i.e. Craft, worksheet, or tell us the age level ect....)

BONUS ENTRY:
If you upload a file (or files) you've created for making an Earth Day Lapbook you'll get one additional entry. Please note that these files must be your own work and you must hold the copyright to them and images must be copyright free. (Homeschool Share has an amazing list of copyright free links and re...)

I'll leave this post open for entries till the end of March, and then I'll announce the random winner of the giftcard then!

www. sparklebox.co.uk is a UK web site with some great things -
www.sparklebox.co.uk/topic/life/recycle.html
and choose:

Sorting for recycling set (Ref: SB1297)
A great set of sorting cards featuring various items of rubbish, some of which can be recycled. Children sort the cards onto their corresponding recycling containers, or the skip.

Could be used as a sorting game.

Starfall.com has an earth day page. It's a read-along story, with recycleable sorting activity (online).

Hi all,
I found a great site that has a lot of info for copywriting, starting with the history of earth day. If you go down the page to the Earthday Pages link you can find a lot of other pages including free clip art to include. On that page you can find some printables in the Free Fun for Kids section.

I found this: The Earth Day Network. This would give you the opportunity to coordinate any activities with local organizations. A great way to learn is of course--Hands on!
