This is our first year doing lapbooks and it has been a lot of fun! My youngest is 5 and he says his first lapbook is his favorite, because we did lift up doors with information tucked inside them or rather under them. I thought for sure he would choose his shark lapbook which we just worked on and was talking about in his sleep for a week. LOL

My son is creating one of a kind Christmas AND Channukkah ornaments for for both sides of the family. There are glass ornament balls that are decorated with stickers, glitter, and flowers hot glued on to the top. Bells made out of small flower pots, stars made of sheet music and cardboard with ribbon used to hang them with. Finally we will be making chains out of double sided scrapbooking paper.

My daughter and I are new to lapbooking, and we are so happy to have discovered it. Our favorite lapbook so far has been one she's done around her Awana's club. She's been able to track all of her scriptures she's memorized, along with her Sparkies stories and songs learned. She goes back to it all the time to sing songs!

My kids favorite lapbook this year has been HOAC's Bubbleology Lapbook. They loved making all the different bubble mixtures. Thanks for the chance to win. Angie Foster

My son did a NASCAR lapbook that he really enjoyed doing all the research for. The pictures in the books from the library were great and we found out a lot about the history of the sport.

Merry Christmas!

My daughter's favorite lapbook that she did this year was her butterfly lapbook. It was the best lapbook that we did together. She learned alot and had fun and so did I and it was a major team effort for her and I as well as the boys. It was also one of my favorites with her. She really took off with it as we had painted lady butterflies and also a monarch she wants to make another butterfly lapbook next summer or add to it she loved it so much. Her butterfly lapbook also fit into our reading theme at the library this year "catch the reading bug." we probably should have just stayed on the butterfly lapbook all summer instead of trying to do 2 other bug lapbooks because she really had fun especially going to the butterfly garden.

It's hard to say which one was my dd's favorite - she enjoyed the Backyard Birds one, and the one on Trees! She's 11 with Asperger's Syndrome and lapbooks hold her attention. No home-made gifts this year, but she wants to do home-made ornaments on the tree next year.
I would like to see The Secret Garden in lapbook form. I know some have made their own, but a pre-made time saver would be nice!

well, i have just finished listening to the audio version of the Nutcracker Story, a free download, and that would be an imaginative and creative lapbook.

My girls and I have been reading the book by Kate DiCamillo, The Tale of Despereaux. We have been using a study guide and are so looking forward to seeing the movie. Wouldn't it be cool to put together a lapbook of this! We think so!
