Lapbook Lessons

I was wondering how do you incorporate lap booking into school time with a 3 1/2 year old. Do you make it ahead of time? do you do various activities during the week and then put them into a folder at the end of the week? I would love to do them with my son but i don't know how to go about doing them. Also how many days and hours is sufficient for a 3 1/2 yr old?

HELP!!! I feel lost and dont know where to begin... am i too late into the year to begin????

Monica,

You are not too late to begin! :-) You can start/stop lapbook anytime.

I make some things ahead of time such as the matching/sorting games that require velcro or magnetic backing.
We do a few activities each day. Some go in the lapbook, some don't. So, we do work on it all week but not necessarily every day.
I don't know how much time we spend each day. We don't spend very long working on the lapbook unless it's an art activity. We try to spend the bulk of our time reading together. :)

My son is also 3 1/2. We've been making an alphabet notebook out of lapbooks this year. You can read about it at my blog (and see the folders we've done so far).

Let me know if you have any more questions! :)
