Lapbook For 6th Grade History

I am struggling with some curriculum for my 6th grade boy. We are using a secular curriculum due to the fact that we are now under a virtual school. However, we are born again Christians with hearts to teach our children the truth. I want to do my own thing with History, but am unsure where to find lapbooks for 6th grade history - time periods of early Egypt,China, India...etc. Even lapbooks that briefly discuss different religions, but focuses on CHristianity. Any ideas?

Val, I LOVE Homeschool in the Woods. Amy Pak is so hands-on and has e-mailed me before and we even spoke on the phone once when I called about an order. I love getting my stuff free but her stuff is well worth the money. I bought one CD and one of my friends bought a CD. Then we got together and made the projects/lapbooks within them. It was even more fun and saved us each from spending more. She has mostly History stuff. We just got the Old and NEW testament lapbooks as well. My kids know a lot of it but it is excellent review and awesome to have around. (Also-to mention_ a fabulous way to witness to others when showing the lapbook!)

We too virtual school. We switched this year though and like it so much more than the older school. We are doing a lot of Calvert School materials. We occasionally hit something that has evolution in it but are able to change it.

We made great use of homeschoolshare.com when we studied ancient Egypt recently. I've typed up daily readings (Bible and library books) and activities that we did as well as book resources we used. I'd be happy to email this to you if you'd like. I'm going to guess from your member name that you're in Southern Calif. How's it going there for homeschoolers now? We're praying for you!

Oh, I just remembered another resource that is superb for studying ancient Egypt. "Remembering God's Awesome Acts" by Eagle Wings. They have a cool workbook that is so thorough! We used pages from that to incorporate into a lapbook.
